
About Navnita
Navnita Sen is a Filmfare (2025) award winning Editor for the Feature film, 'Ghaath'. After graduating in Economics from Miranda House, she began her editing career in TV 18, New Delhi. She went on to do her Masters in Film Editing from Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, in 2004. Early in her career, she was the in house editor of Production houses like Apocalypso and the post-production house Prime Focus. As a freelance editor, Navnita has edited several award winning Feature Films, Web series, Short films, Advertisement and Documentary Films. She has also done extensive work for Bangladesh and the Middle East and collaborated with teams from USA & UK. She has conducted editing workshops in FTII, SRFTII, St.Xaviers and Sophia Mumbai and is also a guest lecturer in Whistling Woods.
Navnita donned the director's hat when she wrote and directed a short film `Visitors’ which, won her the award for ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best Short Film’ in two prestigious international film festivals. She also wrote and co-directed the critically acclaimed short film, 'Vishaad', which premiered at the prestigious Kolkata International Film Festival.

Navnita turned Producer with her company Finchbill Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd., producing the feature film Shadow Assassins, which released theatrically in India in 2022 and Singapore in 2023. She is currently attached as Producer and Editor on the Hindi feature Agamya, a satirical reimagining of Kafka’s 'The Castle'. Apart from pursuing her editing career, Navnita is presently developing multiple original feature film scripts, Her passion for storytelling and ability to add meaningful layers to the narrative, makes her a much sought after film professional both, in mainstream and the alternative space.
